KOREA 2nd version

　　The country I'm interested in is Korea. I have been there once. It was lovely nice trip. I like Korean foods, music, dramas and language. I am studying Korean. It was so much fun. So let me tell you about Korea.
　　First, I will show you some Korean foods. Almost all of the Korean foods are hot, spicy. I can't eat hot things so much, but I can eat Korean foods. Because Korean foods are very hot but really delicious. My favorite Korean food is 'kimuchi.' It is like a 'tsukemono (pickle)' in Japan. There are kimuchi in Japan too, but Japanese one is not good. Korean is the best. I also like 'bibinpa.' It is like a 'mazegohan (rice mixed with vegetables and meat)' in Japan. Especially 'ishiyaki-bibinpa' is delicious. It is so nice. Not only hot foods but also not hot one is good. I like Korean 'soft seaweed soup.' It is 'wakame soup' in Japanese. This soup is not hot, but if you want it to be hot thing, you can add 'cochujan' to this soup. 'Cochujan' is the red pepper paste. It is like a 'miso (soybean paste)' in Japan. 'Cochujan' is very nice spice. It is useful. In Japan, there is 'cochujan,' but it is not good. Korean one is the best. Last, I will tell you about 'kankokunori (Korean laver).' It is so good. There are laver in Japan too, but they have some different points. Korean laver's texture is loose. In addition, it is covered with salt. It is good. Then, Korea has a lot of delicious foods.
　　Next, I will show you about Korean entertainment. I like some Korean musicians and actors. My favorite Korean musicians are 'TOHOSHINKI.' They are like an idol group. They are popular in Asia. I had seen their concert once. It was so exciting. They are very handsome. They have small face and gentle features. They are tall and strong body. They have a nice built. Not only their looks but also their mind is nice. In addition, their singing voices is lovely nice. It is so sweet, sexy and cool. Their dance is great too. They are perfect I think. Then, I will show you my favorite Korean actors. They are called Korean F4. They played the main charactors on the drama 'Hanayori Dango (Flower Four).' This drama is very popular in Asia. The story is a Japanese comic. This drama has 3 version. It is Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese. So this drama is popular in Asia. F4 member is Lee MinHo, Kim HyunJoon, Kim Bum and Kim Jun. They are so sweet and cool. When I saw them my first time, I have been taken up with them. Especially, I like Kim Bum. I am member of his fan club in Japan. F4 is the character in that drama, so they usually active separately. They have own group or something each. Not only 'Hanayori Dango' but also other dramas are very fun. There are many good entertainer in Korea like this.
　　Last, let me tell you about Koreans family name. Most of Koreans family name is 'Kim', 'Lee' or 'Paku.' As you can see F4 member's name, 'Kim' is the most popular family name in Korea. Second is 'Lee' and third is 'Paku.' I think it makes me confuse, doesn't it? So Korean people usually use first name or full name when they call someone. It is interesting for me.

My Favorite Movie (1st essay)

　　　My favorite movie is 'Legally Blonde'. The tittle is 'Cutie Blonde' in Japanese. This movie is so cute and cheered me up. When I watch it, I am motivated. This is a sticker girl's story. I like pretty movies and especially I like it. First, let me tell you about people who related to this movie. Reese Witherspoon played the lead in this movie. Her real name is Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon. She was born in America in 1976. Her forefather was a signatory of the United States Declaration of Independence as a representative of New Jersey, so she comes from a good family. She has appeared on television since her childhood. In 1991, she came out on the screen. The tittle is 'The Man In The Moon' (has not been released in Japan.) The other, she played a lot of movies and she had received many prize of good actress before. The director is Robert Luketic. He was born in Australia in 1973. He made his debut on the screen as a director on this movie. But he filmed many movies before. He is great young director.
　　　Now, I will tell you about this story. The main character is a pretty American girl Elle. She has a beautiful natural blonde hair. She likes fashion. She loves pink. She studies about fashion in her University. She makes a good academic record there. In addition, she is the most popular girl in her university. She enjoys her life very much. That girl really looks forward to receive a proposal from her boyfriend Warner. He wants to be a politician. One day, they go out a date. Elle is very excited about proposal. But Warner says about breaking up. He says 'Because you are too blonde. Marilyn Monroe is not suitable person for wife of a politician.' Elle never thinks that he says about breaking up. She is very shock. But, she is a positive girl. Warner goes on to law school in Harvard University. Elle think that he want to look for his wife there, so she starts studying to entrance there. Her friends cheer for her. She really studies hard. At last, she gets acceptance of law school in Harvard University. But, her class mates don't think well about her. She looks like a barbie doll so they think that she is not suitable for Harvard. Elle try to deal with it. She enjoy going shopping, manicure and so on to distract her mind from her worries. On the other hand, Warner get engaged to one of his class mates Vivian in summer vacation. In addition, he says Elle 'You should hew your way. You can find another way, Elle.' Elle is shock..... No, she is positive girl. She is ready and willing from his the saying. Elle studys hard and hard. Finally, she makes a good academic record there and become an assistant Professor Callahan. She makes a defense at a difficult trail. She really wrestles earnestly with it. Then, other lawyers trust her and they help and support to Elle. Hello, my host family. My name is Mai. I’m from Kumamoto Japan. My hometown is in the country and very beautiful. I am 19 years old. I live with my family, my father, mother and elder sister. My father runs a real estate business. He is very kind and funny. My mother is a calligraphy teacher. She is a hard worker. I respect her. My sister is a student. She studies education. She wants to be a teacher. We live in perfect harmony. I love my family.

My hobby is dancing. I like pop and house dance. When I entered my university, I started to dance. I like watching dance and doing it. I want to be a good dancer. I will show you my dance, when I meet you.

I learn tea ceremony. It is Japanese culture. It relaxes me. I am good at calligraphy. It is Japanese culture too. I like China ink’s smell. I will write some calligraphy to present to you. I am interested in languages. English, Korean, Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian and so on. Of course, Japanese too! Now, I am studying English, Korean, French and Chinese. Studying languages is very fun and important, I think. I can get on with various people, if I can use various languages. I think that I will be able to broaden my horizons by these. I’m excited.

Then, I have a dream. My dream is to be a flight attendant. I like to get on with other people, English and airplanes, so flight attendant is the best job for me. Now, I go to airline school too. I study for my dream to come true. It is very hard, but I do my best. I really want to be a flight attendant! It is very difficult, but I believe my self.

A Place in Kumamoto Version2

Kumamoto has many good sweet shops. I like sweets, especially cakes and my family also like them, so I know many cake shops in Kumamoto. Now, I will show you four of my favorite cake shops in Kumamto.

First, I recommend the cake shop”Chez-Tani.” The shop is from Kumamoto. It has three shops in Kumamoto, Ezu, Kengun and Hakuzan. My house is in Ezu, so I usually go to the shop in Ezu. When you go into the shop, you feel happy. There are very sweet smells and beautiful cakes. All of Chez-Tani’s cake is great! Not onlu cakes but also other things are good. Cookies, custard pudding, chocolate... They are so nice. My favorite one is cookie. You should go to Chez-Tani and try to eat some sweets. I think you will become a fun of Chez-Tani.

Next, I will introduce the cake shop “Bois de Boulogne (Buronyu-no-Mori in Japanese.)” The shop is in Hakuzan-dori. The shop looks like a castle. It is cute. The shop’s cream puffs are so good! I like pie cream puff. It is really delicious. The shop’s cakes are more expensive than Chez-Tani’s, but they are worthwhile. This shop’s cakes taste mild. Please try them. 

Third, I recommend the cake shop “quatorze juillet.” The shop is very near to KGU. I think most of KGU students and teachers know this shop. The shop’s cakes are expensive too, but they are also worthwhile. The cakes are so mild, cute… anyway, they are so good. If you have a time, you should go there and try them. Those make you happy, I think.

Last, I will introduce the cake shop “trios-grues.” It is in Heisei. I like the shop’s “gateau chocolat.” The cake is so great. It is very delicious. It tastes moderately sweet and velvety. When I eat it, I usually put fresh cream on it. If you do the same like this, you will have more happiness. I recommend it a lot. Please try it.

My treasures are my teddy bears. Now, I have around 30 teddy bears. They are so cute! They make me happy and relax me. So, I will write my teddy bears.

First, I will show you my meeting with teddy bear. Our first meeting was 17 years ago. I was three years old, Christmas. My father gave me a big teddy bear for Christmas present. I was so happy! I liked it as soon as opened the present. From this day, I was always with this teddy bear. Whatever I did, wherever I went, we were always together. This bear sleeps with me every night even now. She is a best friend of mine.

Then, collecting teddy bears became one of my hobbies. When I went to the department store, I went to the teddy bear department and looked for my new friends. It was exciting, but difficult for me, because teddy bear is expensive for children. So I always worried about chose favorite one. When I went to Huistenbosch in Nagaski, I was so happy, because there is teddy bear shop. I bought many teddy bear goods and 2 teddy bears. Small one and middle one. The other day, I went to Kijima-korakuen in Oita. There is teddy bear shop too. Then, I bought a teddy bear too. This is the way I got many teddy bears.
